Project Description: Mechco has had a presence in GTMO since the relationship with Tetra Tech began and still has a large presence on the island under Weston Solutions. Mechco has completed hundreds of various projects inside of the gates of Guantanamo Bay. those projects range anywhere from major coatings repairs, piping and fabrication, to electrical and meter repairs. GTMO is a major accomplishment for Mechco as the island is not easy to navigate for contractors nor is it easy to schedule mass material deliveries. One of the larger projects was listed as GBY-TTM-371. Mechco removed and replaced 600 linear feet of piping inside the containment pit.
